Can I return a purchase?

At Tom’s Foreign Auto Parts, we want your online shopping experience to be an easy one. Every part we sell comes with a no-hassle, 6-Month Money Back Guarantee. If you’re not happy with your part then we’ll credit you, plain and simple. If you need to return a part, please contact us before shipping anything back Please note:

  • We offer FREE RETURNS on parts that were shipped with FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. A prepaid return label will be included with these items.
  • Freight shipments that arrive via freight truck do not include free return shipping.

Can I exchange a part?

We understand that buying and selling auto parts online is very difficult for a number of reasons including fitment, color match, damage descriptions, etc. If you would like to exchange your recent purchase, please contact us to start the process. 

How do I return an item?

How do I return an item I purchased on eBay?

If you purchased an OEM auto part from us on eBay, please see your eBay order page for details
on starting a return. Go to the order you placed with us and open a return request. The eBay
return system will walk you through the rest of the return process.

Can I return a purchase for any reason?

What if I ordered the wrong parts?

At Tom's, we understand that buying and selling OEM auto parts online is very difficult for a number of reasons including fitment, color match, damage descriptions, etc. If you ordered the wrong parts, please contact us at sales@tomsforeign.com or 800-973-5506 before shipping anything back.

How long do I have to return a product?

Almost all OEM parts are sold with Tom's 6-Month Money Back Guarantee, so six months from the date of purchase is the usual duration. Some of our products have additional guarantee options. Tom's Foreign Auto Parts Extended and Lifetime Guarantees apply only when purchased during the checkout process and are offered for only select items. Learn more here.

What if it has been more than 6 months? Can I return a product?

Please call us at 800-973-5506 if you purchased an Extended Guarantee at time of sale or you think your situation may be unique.

Are there certain products I can’t return?

Every part we sell is returnable unless explicitly stated at time of sale. Used batteries
and used tires are not returnable.

Do I have to pay any restocking fees?

A 20% restocking fee is at the sole discretion of Tom’s Foreign Auto Parts. In most
situations we do not charge restocking fees.

What if the product is defective or damaged?

All OEM parts are sold with Tom's 6-Month Money Back Guarantee and some offer the option of an extended guarantee to be purchased at checkout. We do our best to test and accurately describe all parts we list for sale, but these guarantees do cover parts that arrive defective.

  • If a part is damaged during USPS or FedEx shipping, please take photos of the box and part and file a claim with the carrier then call us at 800-973-5506
  • All Freight shipments must be inspected upon delivery. The delivery driver will have paperwork for you to sign, DO NOT sign if there is any damage to the item as a result of shipping. If you sign, we will not be able to process a damage claim for the item.

What if I need to make a warranty or guarantee claim and return a purchase?

All parts (unless otherwise stated) are covered by our Guarantee, so please read it thoroughly before you purchase. If you want to return a part during the guarantee period, please contact us at sales@tomsforeign.com. Please be advised:

  • We do not cover labor fees under any circumstances.
  • The Guarantee is void if you dissasemble or modify the part in anyway without contacting us first.
  • Shipping credits and return costs are calculated solely at the discretion of Tom's Foreign Auto Parts.

Can I cancel my order after it’s been placed?

Yes you can cancel your order as long as it hasn’t been shipped yet. Please contact us
as soon as possible to see if we are able to cancel your order. 

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

We offer FREE RETURNS on parts that were shipped with FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. A
prepaid return label will be included with these items. Freight shipments that arrive via freight
truck do not include free return shipping.

What if my return never arrives?

Contact us at sales@tomsforeign.com or 800-973-5506 before shipping anything back. If you use a FedEx or UPS return label found in the original shipping, it will have a tracking number, so you can follow the progress. 

Is there a core return policy?

For orders that have core charges, the core must be returned within 30 days.
Please note: FedEx shipments include a return label. This is NOT for a core. The return label is
just in case you need to ship an item back.

How long will it take to process my refund?

Refunds for standard returns are issued within 1-3 business days of receipt of the item at our
warehouse.
