Saturn

Saturn was established in 1985 by General Motors. The very first Saturn rolled off the assembly line in 1990. The S-Series was Saturn’s only car up until the 2000 model year. The S series came in coupe, sedan and wagon, all with similar 4cyl engines. Saturn was building small cars that almost directly competed with its GM counterpart. The later frustrated GM management as Saturn failed to meet its sales expectations.

Between 2000 and 2010 model years, Saturn had entered other markets with SUV’s, coupes, larger sedans and even a roadster. In 2008, the recession and GM bail out led to the end of Saturn production in 2009. Some Chevrolet dealers took over as service stations for Saturn cars and Saturn owners were offered cash back towards new GM purchases.
